I'm here in DC along with limited staff getting ready for the 1000 members and friends who will be joining us this week.
Washington is a buzz today with Sept. 11 observances and talk of the war. The Hardwood Federation kicks off today including meetings with Senators and Representatives.

David, and all NHLA members. Thank you for honoring our membership back to the NHLA. We hope you all had safe travels to our Nations Capitol.
This week we are working on getting face to face meetings with Rick Fedrizzi, President & CEO, USGBC and the Chair of LEED steering committee, to start a dialog on getting them to recognize more than one forest certification systems.
